Clean label products have a large market.
Producers and ingredient suppliers are concerned since clean label has no regulatory, scientific, or industry-wide acknowledged definition. The meaning of “clean” is subjective. Also, what’s clean now may not be clean tomorrow, or whenever another movement promotes falsehoods online.
Ingredient unfamiliarity fosters distrust. Clean label is obviously a chance to educate people about the ingredient’s purpose and narrative. Ingredient awareness and acceptance varies by application and geography. These two aspects are critical when selecting components for a development or modification.
